KILLED. - Samuel Parmley, of near Dixie, died on Saturday night from the effects of injuries sustained Saturday afternoon. There is a freight train that goes east about noon and he tried to board this as it was climbing the steep grade at that point. In some way he missed his footing and fell under the train; he laid on the ground there until the west-bound passenger found him. They picked him up and took him to Kellogg, where he lived until evening. ~ The Newton Journal (Iowa) Wednesday, April 26, 1893.
