DES MOINES -- Marilyn Ann Johnson, 68, died Friday, May 5, 2006, at Regency Hospital in Golden Valley, Minn.

A funeral mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in West Des Moines. Burial will be at Resthaven Mausoleum.

Visitation with the family will be 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at McLaren's Chapel, with a vigil service at 6:30 p.m.

The daughter of Cecil Elias and Frances Mary (Wallish) Moffitt, she was born Jan. 21, 1938, at Marshalltown. She was an author until her retirement.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Darcie and Michael Skinner; one son and daughter-in-law, David and Juli Johnson; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
