OTTUMWA — Sharon Ann Miller Rogers, 52, of Ottumwa, formerly of Newton, died Saturday, March 11, 2006, at Hospice House of Davis and Wapello Counties in Ottumwa.

A funeral service will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton with the Rev. Paul Smith of Wesley United Methodist Church in Ottumwa officiating. Burial will be at Newton Union Cemetery.

The family will greet friends from 10 a.m. until the time of the service Tuesday. Memorials will be accepted in her name to Wesley United Methodist Church in Ottumwa or to Hospice of Davis and Wapello Counties and may be left at the funeral home.

The daughter of Edwin W. and Loretta J. Martin Miller, she was born Sept. 3, 1953, in Newton. She lived in Ottumwa since 2003. Prior to that, she lived in Newton. She graduated from Newton Senior High School in 1971 and was attending Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa. She was a homemaker and a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Ottumwa. She enjoyed animals and spending time with her grandchildren.

Survivors include a son, Eddie J. (Courtney) Rogers of Ottumwa; two daughters, Shauna M. Rogers of Ottumwa and Mindi M.J. (Geoff Scott) Rogers of Newton; four grandchildren; her parents of Newton; a sister, Nina K. Robson of Newton; an aunt; several nieces and nephews; and special friends Barb Prevett of Ottumwa and Tim Harsh of Newton.

She was preceded in death by her paternal and maternal grandparents, a brother-in-law, Robert Robson, and several aunts and uncles.
