George J. Eaton Dies Sunday Eve; Rites Wednesday

Goerge John Eaton, 63, 303 North Fifteenth avenue West, died at his home during the night of a circulatory ailment.

Funeral services are scheduled to be held Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock at Toland Funeral Home with burial in the Newton Union cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. A. J. Ward, pastor of the Four-Square Gospel church.

Mr. Eaton was born Nov. 2, 1888, at Reedstown, Wis. He had worked at the Maytag Co. since 1934 where he was employed in the receiving and shipping department at Plant I.

Survivors are his widow; one son, Elvin W.; two brothers, Parley and Loyd; and two isters, Mrs. Charles Snook and Mrs. Ben Acklin, all of Newton. ~ The Newton Daily News, Newton, Iowa, Monday March 24, 1952.

George J. Eaton Rites Held Today

Funeral services for George J. Eaton, 63, Newton man who died Sunday night at his home, were held this afternoon at Toland Funeral Home with Rev. A. J. Ward officiating. Burial was in Newton Union cmemetery.

Music was by Mrs. John W. Walter and Mrs. C. J. Breece, vocalists, with Mrs. Hugh Moore as organist. In charge of flowers were Mrs. Carl Preston and Mrs. Don Frazer.

Pallbearers were Wilbur Edwards, George Conn, John Petermeier, Carl Preston, William Moore and vern Longren. ~ The Newton Daily News, Newton, Iowa, March 26, 1952.
