David D. Williams

FREELAND, Wash. -- David D. Williams, 42, of Freeland, Wash., a former resident of Newton, died Sunday, Oct. 1, at a Langley, Wash., hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the Glen Echo Christian Church in Des Moines. Burial will be in Newton Union Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Merle Hay Funeral Home in Des Moines from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday.

Mr. Williams, who had resided in Washington for 18 years after spending his early life in Newton and Des Moines, is survived by his wife, Kim; a son, Chris of Grapeview, Wash.; a daughter Sarah Williams of Freeland, Wash.; his mother Violet Williams of Des Moines; two step-sons, Jay Madison and Chris Madison, both of Torrance, Calif.; a step-daughter, Shannon Madison of Cupertino, Calif.; and a grandchild.

Also surviving are four sisters, Meri Terry of Urbandale, Verlee Goodrich of Rapid City, S. D., Karol Hodges of Tucson, Ariz., and Dixie See of Sheridan, Wyo.
