ESCONDIDO, Calif. -- Robert O. Warner, 55, of Escondido, Calif., formerly of Newton, died Saturday, June 24, at Palomar Hospital in Escondido.

Burial was in Fort Rosecrans, Point Coma, San Diego, Calif.

Survivors are his wife, Marna; two sons, Shawn of Phoenix, Ariz., and Christopher of San Diego, Calif.; two sisters, Vivian De Greef of Cedar Rapids and Iris Ling of Ankeny.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mr. Warner was a 1952 graduate of Newton Community High School.
