OTLEY -- Simon Van Dusseldorp, 78, of Otley died Thursday, Oct. 26, at the Pella Community Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Otley Reformed Church.

Rev. Marvin Benkelman, pastor of the church, will conduct services. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery in Pella.

Friends may call Saturday and Sunday at Pella Garden Chapel Funeral Home. Visitation with the family will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Memorials to the Pella Community Hospital special care unit will be accepted.

Survivors are his wife, Margaret; a son Lorence of Otley; a daughter Ellen (Mrs. Brent) Dale of Davenport; six grandchildren; two sisters, Ada (Mrs. Alfred) Van Wyk of Pella and Margaret (Mrs. Gerrit) Van Wyk of Prairie City; and a brother, Francis Van Dusseldorp of Otley.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Arland, and a brother in infancy.

Mr. Van Dusseldorp, a longtime Otley-Pella area farmer, was a member of the Otley Reformed Church.

The son of Lambartus and Maria Huyser Van Dusseldorp, he was born May 6, 1911 in Sully.

He was married to Margaret L. Hiemstra Oct. 12, 1938.
