Baxter- Funeral services for Bessie Miller Schweinebart, 75, a longtime resident of the Baxter community, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 17, 1992, at the Baxter Congregational United Church of Christ.
The Rev. Tom Carpe, interim pastor of the church, will conduct services.
Burial will be in the Restland Cemetery in Baxter. Friends may call at the Boyd-Davis Funeral Home in Baxter after 3 p.m. today.
Memorials in her name will be accepted.
Mrs. Schweinebart died Monday, Dec. 14, 1992 at the Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.
Survivors are her husband, Olen; three sons Ronald, James and Fred, all of Baxter; five granchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Also surviving are two sisters; Anna Bell of Chariton and Bertha DeVol of Bettendorf; and a brother, Tom Miller of Colfax.
Mrs. Schweinebart was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, a brother and two grandchildren.
The daughter of Nelson and Margaret Dixon Miller, she was born Nov. 11, 1917 at Colfax and was a graduate of the Colfax Community High School.
She married Olen T. Schweinebart Nov. 28, 1944 at Baxter.
Mrs. Schweinebart was employed at the Maytag Co. in Newton before her marriage, was a homemaker on a farm west of Baxter after her marriage.
