Emma Sabin Jackson, 80, of 1105 E. 12th S., a lifelong resident of Newton, died Sunday, Sept. 13, 1992, at her apartment in McCann Village.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Reese Chapel.
The Rev. Rodd Schlitter and the Rev. Willis Grant will conduct services.
Burial will be in the Newton Union Cemetery.
Cremation has taken place.
Memorials to Skiff Medical Center will be accepted.
She is survived by two sons, Dennis Sabin of Seaside, OR., and W. T. "Bill" of Las Vegas, Nevada; six grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, George, four sisters and six brothers.
Mrs. Jackson was a member of the First United Methodist Church, president of the Jasper County Nurses Association, past matron of the Order of Eastern Star 100 and was a RSVP volunteer.
Mrs. Jackson, a member of the first Girl Scout Troop in Newton, was a registered nurse who had been employed at Skiff Medical Center and in Grinnell.
The daughter of Calivn and Maggie R. Simons Sabin, she was born Jan. 19, 1912 in Newton.
She was a 1930 graduate of Newton Community High School and a 1935 grduate of the Mercy Hospital School of Nursing.
She married George W. "Bill" Jackson Oct. 29, 1937.
