Mrs. Peter J. (Irene) Zwank, 77, of Pella, a former resident of Newton, died Saturday, April 13, 1985, at the Pella Community Hospital.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 16, 1985, at the First Reformed Church in Pella.

The Rev. Edward Veldhuizen and the Rev. Cornie Reyne, pastors of the church, will conduct services. Burial will be the Graceland Cemetery in Pella.

Friends may call in the Garden Chapel Funeral Home in Pella today, April 15.

Memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society will be accepted.

Survivors are her husband; a son, Ron, of Pella; a daughter, Mrs. John S. Gosselink of Pella; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are three sisters, Mabel Wheeler of Wausau, WI., Mary Swigart of Salt Lake City, UT., and Emma Jackson of Newton; two brothers, Edgar Sabin of New Hartford and Wilbur Sabin of Baxter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, Everett, Leslie and Alfred Sabin and Carroll Sabin in infancy and sister, Alice Buchanan.

Mrs. Zwank, who had taught in Jasper County Schools, was a member of the First Reformed Church in Pella, a former member of the Newton United Methodist Church, and a member of the Bethany Willing Workers, Amercian Cancer Society and the American Legion Auxiliary.

The daughter of Calvin M. and Maggie R. Simons Sabin, she was born Sept. 3, 1907 in Blairstown, attended Newton schools and was graduated in 1925 from Newton Community High School.

She was married Jan. 12, 1931 in Clarksville.
