JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Jacen Lee Martin, 48, of Jacksonville, Fla., formerly of Jasper County, died Oct. 23, 2003, at his home.

Burial was at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Fla.

The son of Kenneth and Rena Martin, he was born Aug. 11, 1955, at Skiff Medical Center in Newton. He was a 1973 graduate of Mingo High School and served in the U.S. Army from 1977 to 1990.

Survivors include his wife, Sheba Lynn of Jacksonville; a daughter, Heather of Jacksonville; a sister, Anita (Paul) Koester of Newton; a brother, Jeff (Chong) of Martinez, Ga.; half-sister, Kathy (Ron) Anderson of Kellogg; and a half-brother, Raymond of Newton.

He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents, parents, a half-sister and an infant brother.
