Hard Times Party
The Good Time club gave a Hard Times party last night and as is the custom did not notify the member to whose home they were going. They met at the Henry Henning home and then went to the Elmer Rood home and surprised Mrs. Rood.
They all had on beautifully outlandish or hard times costumes and entered into the spirit of the occasion and had a very happy time.
Mesdames Dan Manning, Edgar Cox and Henry Henning were the committee to prepare or suggest stunts for each one to do and a good many was suggested.
The menu for refreshments which they took with them was made out in cipher and that all were asked to guess, for instance there was botany, astrology language, etc.
Before the evening was over a silver thimble was given to Mrs. Rood by the club.
It was voted that Mrs. Wellington Jackson had the most unique costume present.
