English Is The Only Language For Folks In This Country
“The English language is the only one to speak in America,” declared N. Santucti, an Italian who has been over here sixteen years, in an address to the member of the Rotary club at the meeting held Tuesday noon at the Churchill hotel.
Mr. Santucti, who is here on business with the Parsons company, is very enthusiastic over America and cannot understand why anyone who lives in this country would want to speak a language other than English. The Rotarians enjoyed his talk very much.
Other quests present at Tuesday’s meeting were James Loys, of Effingham, Ill., and Frank Bewyer, W. S. Johnson and E. G. Finch, of Newton.
