Five Scott brothers
We doubt whether any other family in Iowa can present so great a sacrifice for the Union cause as is found recorded on a monument in the Prairie City cemetery in the memory of the following soldiers, five brothers:
Lewis Scott, Co. M, 8th Iowa
Foster Scott, Co. D, 8th Iowa
Henry Scott, Co. b, 5th Iowa
Chas. Scott, Iowa Battery
Albert Scott, Indiana Regiment
