News:

At the home of the bride’s parents, Dec. 29, 1896, by Rev. H. V. Adams, Mr. John Perryman and Myrtle Gregory were married. Also: At the home of the bride’s mother, by Rev. Wilson Mills of the Christian Church at Monroe, Mr. James Keables and Miss Jennie Owens, both of the Prairie City neighborhood.

The marriage of Mr. Carl Wiggins and Miss Verde Davis at the home of Mr. Cyrus Davis Wednesday evening, January 6, at eight o’clock is announced. ~ The Newton Journal, January 6, 1897
