A Happy Event

The home of W. M. Guessford in Buena Vista Township was beautifully decorated with plants and flowers on Sept. 25, and a large number of friends had gathered to witness the marriage of their daughter Lou to John C. Donald. Promptly at 7:30 the bridal party was heralded by the inspiring strains of the wedding march played by Miss Maggie Blakely. First came the officiating clergyman, Rev. D. Phillips, then the brides-maid Miss Carrie Ervin, and groomsman, Mr. Frank Phillips, then the bride and groom. Then followed the impressive and solemn ceremony which made them husband and wife. While Miss Blakely played another selection they were surrounded by their kindred and friends who uttered the kindest wishes and a long and happy life to the wedded pair.

The bride was beautifully attired in a delicate blue Henrietta trimmed in ribbon and passementrie, her bridesmaid was dressed
In cream Henrietta, the groom and groomsman wore the usual black.

At the reception at the groom’s father, Mr. D J. Donald living three miles south of Kellogg, a large number of invited guests were present to extend their best wishes to this worthy couple and to partake of the delicious repast the tables fairly groaning beneath the many good things prepared and all left feeling the day well spent.

Mr. and Mrs. J. C. Donald will live with the groom’s father, where they will be at home to their many friends. One who was
