20 DIPLOMAS AT KELLOGG

Kellogg, May 27: The annual commencement exercises were held at the high school auditorium, Tuesday evening of last week with Professor William L. Reece of Drake university giving the address on "Success is a Private Affair." Rev. E. Ray Allen, pastor of the local Christian church, gave the invocation and benediction, the processional was played by June Anderson, solo by Marilyn Cunningham, and special music included a piano solo by Marilyn Cunningham and a selection by the girls' trio, which included Carol Stiles, Marilyn Cunningham and Gloria Schaumberg. Diplomas were awarded to 20 high school students and certificates of promotion were given to twelve eighth graders. Those receiving the certificates were Alvin Cooper, Kenneth Hobbs, George Kydd, Gary Richards, Delvin Tabor, Tony Van Roekel, Dona Cunningham, Dean Gregory; Norma Rawlins, Susan Stepp, Dale Veber and Richard White. School closed Saturday with a picnic for children and parents at the Lake park.
