Married- At the residence of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gus A. *Rueberg, at Newton, Iowa, March 20, 1889, by Rev. J. K. Cornell, Mr. Henry F. Klopping, and Miss Maggie *Reuberg.

Quite a large number of the intimate friends of the bride and groom assembled at the *Ruberg to witness the interesting ceremony, uniting for better or worse, the destinies of the young people, and showering upon them their congratulations and best wishes for long years of happiness.

Henry and Maggie are worthy of a full share of the joys of this life. The following is a partial list of the presents:
Mrs. Rueberg, two tablecloths and six towels.
Frank Woodrow, set of silver knives.
Mattie Rueberg, set of silver forks.
Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Woodrow, silver spoons.
Hannah and Lizzie Klopping, set of dishes.
Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Klopping, glass sett (typed as written).
Miss Liddie Klopping, fruit sett and wash bowl and pitcher.
Freddie Klopping, a clock.
Mary Klopping, bed spread.
Mr. and Mrs. Hiram Johnson, set of dishes.
Florence Miller, glass water set.
J. W. McLaughlin, lamp.
Mr. and Mrs. John B. Lamp, table cloth.
Cora Fales, cake stand.
Anson Holmes, glass bell top butter dish.
Mr. and Mrs. T. N. Johnston, plush band mirror.
Herb and Robbie Johnson, crumb pan and brush.
Wadie Johnson, match safe.
Charlie Rueberg, 1 doz. Napkins.
Mrs. G. L. Cross, butter dish.
Mrs. Charlie Propp, cake stand.
Anna Myer, chair tidy.
Minnie, Lottie and Will Altemyer, $5.00.
Mary, Minnie and Henry Altemyer, $2.00
Henry Schnathorst, $1.50.
Herman and Lena Schnathorst, two handkerchiefs and two mufflers.
Frank Cavell and Elmer Graham, hall stand.

Newton Union Cemetery records has the following about Henry Klopping: son of Adolph & Hannah (Meier) Klopping; husband of Mary Magdalene “Maggie” (Ruberg) Klopping; born 1/1/1864
