Md. Prairie Wedding Bells.

Clymer-Greenlief-Last Wednesday evening, Feb. 27th, 1895, at 7:30 o’clock, at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. L. A. Greenlief occurred the marriage ceremony, uniting their only daughter Myrtle to Frank Clymer, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. John Clymer. The bride and groom are well and favorably known; they have resided in this community since childhood. The bride is noted for her sweet and noble disposition, while the groom is a young man of good principle and industrious habits, and the marriage f this young couple is a most notable and brilliant event. At about 6 o’clock guests began arriving till all-to about the number of 75-had gathered to witness the ceremony. The company assembled in the south parlor and the wedding march was played by Lily Daniel. Rev. O. C. Harrah, followed by the bride and groom, came forward and after a short but impressive ceremony, Myrtle and Frank were pronounced husband and wife. The bride was robed in a dress of green silk of a delicate shade, trimmed with cream silk lace and pearl passementrie, carrying a bouquet of pink tea roses and a small rose wreath in her hair. The groom wore the conventional suit of black, and looked noble and handsome as he stood by the side of his beautiful bride. After congratulations tables were spread, bright lights, silver and china presented an attractive scene. An elegant repast was served, to which all did ample justice.

Many presents, both useful and valuable, were left as tokens of respect and esteem in which the worthy young couple are held. Among the guests were, Miss Ella M. Bond and Mr. Shurr Westbrook, of Newton Normal College; Miss Alta Rider, Mr. and Mrs. B. R. and Miss Effie McLellan, Mr. S. H. Galusha and Mr. and Mrs. Harry Galusha, of Newton; Miss Rosella Wakefield of Des Moines; Mrs. M. S. Corselius and Dr. L. C. S. and Mrs. Dr. A. B. Turner, of Colfax; Miss Lennie Gilbert, of Prairie city. M. B (the rest of this paragraph is missing.) The Newton Journal, March 6, 1895.
