The Meese family reunion was held at the Maxwell park Sunday, Aug. 13. Guests from a distance were Mr. and Mrs. Eggleston of Whitten; Mrs. Lily Eatwell of Eldora; Mr. and Mrs. Earl Gardener and family of Clear Lake; Mr. and Mrs. Graham Gardener and children of Minnesota; Mr. and Mrs. Robt. Gardener of Dallas Center; Mr. and Mrs. Leland Bates and children of Napier; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Welch, Mr. and Mrs. Dale Harter and sons of Des Moines; Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Weston, Mrs. and Mrs. Art Jeffries of Baxter; Mrs. Sue Witmer, Stillwell Harter, Willis Heard and family, G. L. Rumbaugh and family, Wm. Green and family, Chancey Akins and family, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Westfall of Mingo; Mr. and Mrs. C. Long and family of Farrar; Howard Maxwell, Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Carver and son of Maxwell. Mrs. Charley Weston is president, C. G. Akins, secretary. They meet at the same place and time in 1934.
