KELLOGG COUPLE WED SATURDAY IN DES MOINES

Kellogg, April 8--Gladys Jean Scarbrough, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Scarbrough, who reside west of town, and Roy Meyer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Meyer of this place, were united in marriage Saturday afternoon, April 5, in the Evangelical Lutheran church in Des Moines with the pastor, Rev. Ernest Lock, reading the single ring ceremony. They were attended by Miss Rosemary Jones of Newton and Duane Paulson of Kellogg.

The bride was attractively attired in an aqua street length gown with which she wore black accessories and a corsage of red roses.

Miss Jones was dressed in a gray street length costume and wore a corsage identical with that of the bride.

Mrs. Meyer was graduated from Newton high school in the class of 1942 and is at present employed in the offices of the One Minute Washer company in Kellogg.

Mr. Meyer was a member of the class of 1943 of the Kellogg high school and was prominent in basketball during his high school days. He is at present employed at the Midwest Metal Stamping factory here.

The young couple began housekeeping in rooms at the Charles Meyer residence after a brief honeymoon trip.
