JACOB BRAND

Jacob Brand was born in North Holland in the Netherlands on March 24, 1840, and came to this counry at the age of 9. He married Jane Verhuel, who was born June 4, 1844, in Delft, Holland.

They were parents of 13 children: Henry, Jacob; Charles; Frank; John; Will; Ira; Mary; Jennie; Eva, who married William Rykhoek; Minnie, who married John Kooistra; Catherine, who married Wietze Kooistra; and a brother and sister who died in infancy.

Jacob Brand died on July 7, 1917, and Jane Brand died on August 25, 1915.
