Mound Prairie

Mrs. W. H. Brock invited about twenty-five friends to a quilting at her home Wednesday. Two quilts were put in one for the girls and the other for the women. The two were almost finished. Those present from out of the neighborhood were Mrs. Zola Hummel Baker and little daughter, Marjorie, of Grinnell.

The G. S. S. club met with Miss Ethel Roberts Thursday afternoon.

The singing circle met at the W. H. Brock home Friday evening. Refreshments were served at a late hour.

Miss Marion Anderson, of Newton, is visiting at the home of her sister, Mrs. James Smith.

Mrs. Zola Hummel Baker and little daughter, Marjorie, returned to their home in Grinnell Saturday. Mrs. B was accompanied by her mother, Mrs. James Hummel.

Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Roberts and family spent Sunday at the Lewis Wilhelm home. ~ The Newton Journal (Newton, Iowa), Wednesday, March 16, 1910.
