Will James and family moved to Dakota Monday.

Artie Sparks and family moved to their farm east of town the fore part of the week.

Rev. Scholte of Monroe moved this last week into the Artie Sparks property in the west part of town.

Little Lawrence Kling who has been sick for about two weeks is able to be out again.

Mr. J. Lawson has been confined to his home for several days on account of erysipeias on his face.

Rev. Aylmore who has been quite sick for almost two weeks is greatly improved and was able to take his place in the pulpit Sunday morning and evening.

Wednesday evening most of the scholars in the second grade spent the evening with their teacher, H. Cowles.

W. H. Talbott and wife went to Newton Tuesday on business.

Minnie Hoppengarden went to Newton Saturday evening to visit friends over Sunday.

John Brunner and wife left Friday morning to visit relatives in Newton and Grinnell for a few days.

Ed Renaud moved this last week north of Lynnville.

Mrs. Thompson of Montezuma, has been here for a few days with her grandparents, K. Burnham's and also her brothers, the Burnham boys.

Mrs. C. V. Shipman returned home last week from Columbus Junction.

Mrs. Dewit came home Saturday from Des Moines where she has been attending school. ~ The Newton Journal (Newton, Iowa), Wednesday, March 9, 1910, page 2, column 1.
