BROWN, Calvin F.
Farmer; S. 31; P. O. Mitchellville; born in Ohio in 1841; came to Minnesota in 1846; thence to Van Buren Co., Iowa, in 1848; thence to Mahaska Co. in 1856, and to Jasper CO. in 1864. He owns 250 acres of land, valued at $50 per acre. Married Miss Alice M. J. EVERT in May 1869. She was born in Ohio Nov. 21, 1843, and died in Oct. 1872. He then married Miss Laura J. CHILDS in 1874. She was born in Medina Co., Ohio in 1844; they have one child - Bessie M., born in 1876. Republican; Township Trustee in Polk Co. Members of M. E.
