WILSON, William S.
Farmer and stock grower; Sec. 25; P. O. Reasonor; born in North of Ireland in 1832; came to America, to Scott Co., Iowa, in 1849; thence to Jasper Co., in 1875; has 320 acres of land, valued at $45 per acre, and 120 acres of land in Scott CO. Married Mary ERVIN in 1859; she was born in North of Ireland in 1834. They have six children-Mary J., Wm. O., Martha A., Elizabeth, Lavina, James. Independent in politics; members of the U. P. Church. He first came to Scott Co. with his parents; entered 320 acres of Government land, and bought 320 acres, second hand, of excellent wheat land; has raised 3,000 bushels of wheat a year. ~ "Palo Alto Township Biographies," The History of Jasper County, Iowa, (Chicago: Western Historical Company, 1878)
