O'ROAKE, James
Farmer; Sec. 8; P. O. Newton; born in County Tyrone, Ireland, in 1822; emigrated to America in 1852; came to Jasper Co., in 1858; has eighty acres of land, valued at $50 per acre. Married Miss Catharine McMANENEY in 1848; she was born in County Tyrone, Ireland, in 1828; they have nine children-John F., Edward, Jane, Margaret, Daniel, James, Mary, Sarah and Alice.
