KENNEDY, L. L. D.
Retired, resides Farmer street. he was born 28 Dec 1825, in Wayne Co., KY. When an infant, he came with his parents to Hendricks Co. IN. In 1850 he removed to Newton, Iowa. He first followed the carpenter and joiner trade till 1860, then commenced the furniture trade, then resumed the carpenter trade. He owns forty acres of land, also various property in the city, consisting of the Clifton House, the Brick store occupied by Ray & Axtell, and several other stores, and his residence. He married Nancy MORGANSON in 1853. She was born in 1827 in Clark Co, KY. They have three children---Anna, Arthur and Fred.
