ARNOLD, Daniel
Deals in grain and livestock. He was born 7 Jan 1833 in Knox Co., OH and on 27 Nov 1857, came to Jasper Co., IA. He first engaged in farming; in 1875 removed to Newton, IA. He has always been in the livestock business since coming to the County. He is also engaged in the grain business at Reasnor, on the Newton and Monroe R.R. He served one term as a member of the Board of Supervisors in 1871, and was also elected to the same position in 1877. He married Rachel JOHNSON 27 Sep 1857; she was born in 1838 in Jefferson Co., Ohio. They have three children---Charles, Henry J., and Michael R. Members of the M. E. Church.
