RUTLEDGE, D. M.; Farmer, Sec 2, P.O. Grinnell. He was born in Kentucky in 1819 and located in this county in 1846. He moved to Poweshiek Co., Iowa in 1848, and returned to Jasper Co in 1878. He married Mary PATRICK in 1860. She was born in Indiana. Their children are Nelson F., Margaret J., Sarah M., William H., Nancy A., and Elsie E. Mrs Rutledge is a member of the U. B. Church. He owns seventy-five acres of land, valued at $25 per acre. ~ "The History of Jasper County" (Chicago: Western Historical Company, 1878), 536
