FATAL ACCIDENT AT NEWTON
Threshing Machine Goes Thruough Bridge,
Killing One Man

Newton, July 7 – A threshing machine engine broke through a bridge near the farm of Peter Pink, and a young man named Campbell was instantly killed. Two brothers named Slaughter were badly injured. One of the Slaughter boys had his back broken and the other suffered a broken arm. The condition of the former is critical.
