QUAINTANCE, Ira
Retired. He was born 17 Apr 1822 in Jefferson Co., OH. In 1854 he came to Jasper Co., Iowa. He owns seventy acres of land in Newton Twp., also the post office building, a brick store room, and other property in the city. He married Livona TRAGER in 1856. She was born in Aug 1827 in Wyandot Co., OH. They have three children--- Katie, Sarah, and George F. He has been four years Township Trustee, and also a member of the Council.
