LISTER, John F.
Boots and shoes, McDonald St.. He was born 24 Nov 1829 in Yorkshire, England. In 1860 he came to Newton, IA. He enlisted in 1862 as musician in the 4th Brigade, and detailed to Gen. Dodge's headquarters, Left Wing, 16th Army Corps. He mustered out the first muster at the close of the war. He married Ann CHIPPENDALE in 1851. She was born in England and died in 1865. They had five children, two living-- Smith and Sarah. Second marriage to Lucretia M. CLARK in 1871. She was born in OH, they have two children: Mary and Lura.
