Anderson, George T.,
County Treasurer; res. on Mulberry street; born Nov. 4, 1831, in Guernsey Co., Ohio; in 1855, he came to Jasper Co., Iowa, and has resided here ever since; was engaged in the boot and shoe business from 1861 to 1865; then engaged in the grocery trade from 1866 to 1877. He was elected in the Fall of 1875, to his present position and also re-elected in 1877. He married M. J. Marsh Feb. 15, 1855; she was born Oct. 28, 1832, in Guernsey Co., Ohio; have one child - Lulu, born Jan. 7, 1865. Are members of the M. E.
