HIATT, John W.
Carpenter and joiner, shop in the rear of the bank of Newton. He was born 21 Mar 1819, in Taylor Co., VA. In 1829 he went to Shelby Co., OH and in 1844 to Aurora, IN. In 1852 he removed to Boone Co, KY and to Newton, IA in 1854, where he has since resided. He owns the bank property occupied by William VAUGHN, also a house and lot in the city. He married Catherine IKE 24 Feb 1842. She was born 2 Feb 1821 in Shelby Co., OH. They had one child who died in Indiana.
