Bakery and confectionery, east side square; residence same. He was born 30 Sep 1848 in London, England. Came to New York when an infant with parents. In 1855 they went to Canada, and in 1863 to Chicago. In 1871 he came to Newton, Iowa. He married Lizzie PARKER 16 Nov 1876. She was born 23 Dec 1854 in Ohio. They have one child---Maud,~ "Newton Township Biographies," The History of Jasper County, Iowa, (Chicago: Western Historical Company, 1878) born 20 Sep 1877. He is a Republican.
