CHAPMAN, Mrs. E. W.
She was born in 1826 in KY. She was married to E. W. ALLEN, and moved to Jasper Co. in 1848 settling on her present farm, consisting then of about 1,200 acres. She is one of the earliest settlers of Jasper Co. Mr. Allen was b. 1820, and died in 1871. She has eight children by this marriage: William, Jacob, James, David, Lizzie, Samuel, Thomas, and Elmira. She married 2nd to John O. Champan in 1875; he was born 14 Nov 1816, in Columbus, OH.
