MACY, S. W.
Farmer; Sec. 20; P. O. Colfax; born in Indiana in 1841; came to Jasper Co. in 1854; has 420 acres of land, valued at $50 per acre. Married Miss Arabella EDMONSON in 1866; she was born in Iowa in 1842; they have three children-Jessie A., Alice J. and Lizzie. Republican in politics. President of the School Board. Enlisted in the 46th Iowa V. I., under Col. D. B. HENDERSON and Capt. J. H. TILTON in 1864; was in no engagements; mustered out in the Fall of 1864.
