MAYO, Jesse T.
Farmer; Sec. 28; P. O. Lynnville; owns 120 acres of land, valued at $4,000; born in Wayne Co., N. C., June 17, 1834; moved to Parke Co., Ind., with his parents in the Spring of 1847, and the same Fall moved to Mahaska Co., Iowa, settling in what is known as the Spring Creek Quaker Settlement; here his father died the Winter following, and his mother marrying a few years afterward. He, in 1852, returned to Indiana, where he married Miss Mary KEEBOTTON, in Parke Co., in Sept., 1856; she was born in that county March 7, 1835; they came to this county and settled on their present farm in 1874; their children are Ella J., Celestia G., Lizzie C and Minnie J.
