LYMAN, Addison, Rev.
Preacher of the Congregational church; born in Hampcon Co., Mass., in 1813; moved to Washington Co., N. Y., in 1839, where he taught; moved to Auburn N. Y., in 1841 where he continued to teach and completed his theological studies, and moved to Henry Co. Ill., in 1845, where he continued teaching, and where he preached for nine years; he then moved to Sheffield, Bureau Co., Ill., where he officiated for fourteen years; and located in this county in 1868, where he is still actively engaged in the good work. He married Miss Catherine A. PORTER in 1847; she was born in Somerset Co., N. J., in 1825; their children are Elbert P., Theresa M., J. Fredy, Mary L., Henry M., Addison F., Catherine E., Anna L. (and Emily P. deceased). Republican.
