McKEE, Samuel Mason
Monroe. he was born in the state of New York and when he was 2 years of age his parents moved to OH, whre he remained until the breaking out of the war of the rebellion. He enlisted in the 146th OH V. I. and was honorably discharged. He came to this county in 1864. He married Miss Annie M. Bain in Newton of this county in 1865. She was born in Washington Co., NY,in 1846. They have five children;Frank E. B. 17 Aug 1866; Jennie V., 5 Jan 1868; Katie, 25 Dec 1870; Cora I., 11 May 1875; Florence O., 23 Apr 1878. Mrs. McKee's father Peter Bain, was a native of NY, and was born 2 Feb 1809. He married Miss J. McNeil and they moved to this county 19 Dec 1860. he died 23 Apr 1875.
