DALRYMPLE, A. L.
Druggist, Monroe. He was born in Knox Co., OH in 1824, and moved to Mills Co., IA in 1853. He was appointed Deputy Treasurer in 1858 and 1859. In 1864 he moved to Newton and engaged in the drug business until 1865, then moved to Monroe and engaged in the hardware business in which he remained but a short time. He married Miss Anna E. GALLHER in Knox Co OH. They have three children-- Preston, Elton, and Myrtle. He is a Republican, and a member of the A.F. & A. M. He and his wife are members of the Baptist Church. Mr. Dalrymple has a drug store on the west side of the square, and keeps a full line of fresh drugs, medicines, paints, oils, etc. ~ Fairview Township Biographies "The History of Jasper County" (Chicago: Western Historical Company, 1878)
