ANDERSON, R. C.
Cashier of Bank of Monroe. He was born in Washington Co., PA in 1837 and was 3 years old when his parents moved to Pittsburgh, remaining there until 1845. They went next to Ohio, then to Marion Co., IA. in 1855. In Dec 1856 he came to this county and engaged in the mercantile business, which he continued until 1874, then engaged in banking which he has continued ever since. He married Miss Mary TEFFT in this city, she was born in Washington Co NY. They have six children: Cora A., Robert Edgar, Walter T., Abbie D., Mary A., Guy Dix. Mr. Anderson has always been a Democrat. He is now Treasurer of the School Board, and he and family are members of the Baptist Church. He is also a member of the A. F. & A.
