Farmer; Sec. 34; P. O. Galesburg; owns 160 acres of land, valued at $6,000; born in Cape May Co., N. J., March 11, 1818; moved to Salem Co., N. J., in 1847, thence to Sangamon Co., Ill., in 1857, where he remained till 1865, and moved to this county, settling where he now lives. Married Miss Sarah HOLMES, Nov. 23, 1843; she is a native of Cape May Co.; their children are Holmes, born in Cape May Co., N. J., Sept. 18, 1846; Philip, born in the same county Sept. 5, 1849; Frank, born in Salem County March 26, 1853; Sarah, born in same county June 9, 1856, and Ida, born in Sangamon Co., Ill., Sept. 25, 1859.
