CATING, Morris
Farmer; Sec. 8; P. O. Galesburg; born in Jackson Co., Ohio, December 17, 1821; moved to Warren Co., Indiana, with his parents when a child; thence to Sullivan Co., Indiana; thence to Champaign Co., Ill.; thence back to Warren Co., Indiana, and in the Fall of 1854, moved to this county, settling near Galesburg on the farm now owned by James Smith; moved to his present farm in 1864, where he has ever since resided. ~ Elk Creek Township Biographies "The History of Jasper County" (Chicago: Western Historical Company, 1878)
