BUTIN, Francis
Farmer; Sec. 20; P. O. Galesburg; owns 160 acres of land, valued at $6,000; born in Hocking Co., Ohio, July 4, 1830; is the son of John A. and Annie BUTIN, both now deceased; he moved with his parents to Burlington, Warren Co., Iowa, in 1847; remained till Spring of 1850, and moved to this county, settling on Sec. 8, this township; he moved to this farm in the Spring of 1856. Married Electa A. EFNOR in this township in 1854; she was born in Hadley, Saratoga Co., N. Y., Aug. 17, 1835, and is the daughter of Samuel and Lexanie EFNOR, the former a native of New York and the latter of Massachusetts; they came to this county in 1854, settling on Sec. 6, this township; Mr. BUTIN's children are Lusettie, Mary, Marion, Samuel and Edwin.
