BITTNER, C.; Farmer; Sec. 17; P. O. Clyde; born in Somerset CO., Penn., March 29, 1833; moved to Iowa in 1870. Has 155 acres of land, valued at $35 per acre, with good buildings and other improvements. Married a Miss [Harriet] DEAL; she died in Iowa, and he married for his second wife a Miss [Barbara] FEITLEY/FAITLEY; she died in Iowa, and for his third wife he married a Miss [Rachel] DEAL; they have three boys - William Wesley, Ira Wilson and Milton. He has held the office of Supervisor. He dealt in live stock two years. He has made his property by his labor.
