Looking for information on whether and when the SEEBERGER family owned property in the NW, NW, section 26, Farmers Creek Twp., Jackson County, IA. A cave on the north side of the North Fork Maquoketa River in that location 1.5 miles SW of Fulton has been known as Seeberger Cave since the 1920s. I am trying to learn how the cave acquired that name and would like to know the relationship of the Seeberger family (a large family in nearby South Fork twp.) to the cave location. The cave was excavated in 1926, when it was owned by a local bank. I would like to correspond with anyone who has information on this subject.
