Lydia Sinkey et. al.

SINKEY, GREEN, BUTT

I have a picture of my Great Grandmother Clarissa Katherine (Green) Butt and her sister Lydia (Green) Sinkey. As I understand it, there were 6 other children in this family, the first 6, including both Clarissa Katherine and Lydia, were born in Ohio (the Johnstown area) and the last 2 born here in Iowa. The parents were Rolla Green born in 1815 in Virginia and Isabella (Isabel) Huston born in 1817 in Ohio (probably the Johstown area). The 6th and 7th children were born in 1852 and 1855 respectively. This family move to Iowa, to the Crabbtown area, some time between the births of these two children, i. e., between 1852 and 1855.

The 1860 Brandon twp, Jackson co,[roll 326, pg 137] has the h/h of Rolla and Isabel Green and this family.

Can anyone tell me anything about this family, in particular about the Sinkey's?
