On the 16th of August, 1900---L. E. Prosser delivered 41 corn binders and 3 corn shredders last Saturday, making a festive day of it, giving every purchaser his dinner at the hotel, hiring the Finchford Brass Band all day long and having a parade in the afternoon, and having a picture taken of the machines, men and crowd of people massed from the roof of front of his store. The artist was from Waverly and took the picture from the roof of the bank building. The town was full of people; flags were flying from many buildings and it looked as though 4th of July was with us once more minus the everlasting firecrackers.
